Oh Yeah... Love na kita Chito! (hehehe!)

I've always thought that Parokya ni Edgar is a good band. I spent my college years listening to their music every now and then but I never attempted to watch any of their shows and concerts. If they have a new song, I listen to it but that's it. Never did I own any of their albums.

I got the chance to meet Chito and Vinci back in college through a common friend but that was it. Wala lang! Basta Parokya ni Edgar! Fun! Everytime I catch them on tv there's always something that will make me remember them. There was a time that Chito wore a Lantin security guard's uniform while singing. You'd actually believe that he's serious about the song his singing with matching eyes closed then he'd suddenly chuckle. Hangkulet! Since then if I see them on tv, I really watch and get a good laugh.

Listening to their songs is another treat. Though some songs are quite naughty and nasty, some really cracked me up. I was in the middle of a traffic when I heard "Papa Cologne" for the first time. I was laughing so hard. People must have thought I was crazy kase naman di tinted si Teepee. When I got to school, I had to ask Mavic if she has heard the song and we both laughed. We were hoping then that they'll be the performing band for the fair but there were negative reactions which we all understand. Chito has the tendency to curse, give the dirty finger or remove his shirt while performing. May pagkabarubal ito! He's so into his performance. In one show he said that he sometimes drinks beer before he performs. Sige fine!

There's always something different that they offer. "Harana" has been the national anthem for some guys. Nowadays, it's "Gitara" which I find the video very amusing. Even Yosi Kadiri was in the "Inuman Na" video. How about the banter between Vinci and Chito in "Yes. yes show". Ang galing di ba?! How about Parokya ni Edgar, the boyband, in "Halaga"?

Last Saturday, I got the chance to see Parokya ni Edgar perform. Live! They were the last band to perform. The crowd went wild when they were just setting up. When Chito came out, the crowd got excited. Everyone was singing with the band. I actually found myself singing and to my surprise I knew the lyrics. High-energy performance.

I never thought Chito was so singkit, so Korean-looking. As expected I grew fond of him kase nga singkit. Patay! Love ko na nga si Chito e! The girl who got the chance to kiss him was so lucky! I wonder what kind of boyfriend he is. He's probably so fun to be with, never a dull moment.

Sige na nga, I'm a certfied Parokya ni Edgar fan na.

Hay Chito, love na kita! Hope to meet you and sana tawa tayo!
