Keeping in Touch

It's been a while since I hanged out with people from St. Paul. I would occasionally bump into my former students at Shang. I would chat with them for a few minutes and that was it.

What actually overwhelms me is their endless text messages and heartwarming messages on my tagboard. Messages saying that they miss me and how different the school is without me around. Wow that's such a big compliment! I just wanna run to St. Paul and give them all a warm hug. I even have a student who's already in Ateneo and she told me she's been reciting endlessly in her bio class because she's using what she learned from me. I cried after reading that message. How I wish could save all those messages in my phone. Baduy as it may sound, I'll keep them all in my cerebrum.

I met with Adi, Sof and Nike last July 1. What was supposed to be just an hour meeting, extended to more than 3 hours of conversation. I missed them and I missed laughing like that with people younger than me. I enjoyed every minute of it. They were very emphatic in sharing their stories. Mwahahaha they never fail to amaze me!

Three days after, I met up with Joy, Ruth and Mavic. (Sadly, Jeje didn't make it). I miss them so much! An added bonus was seeing our very pregnant friend Armie. I enjoyed our chat over pizza and pasta. Hopefully, we'll be able to hang out again and (trash) talk about other people. Joke! We don't do that. We actually talk about our lives and how we stupidly spent our times together in the past. So many things have changed but I'd like to keep our friendship as it is.

Joy handed me the letters from my former students. I was so excited to read them and I am just so thankful for having very thoughtful students. To all of you, your letters mean a lot to me. I hope one day I'll get to see you again and as always.....

Tawa tayo ulet!
